Pro baking tip:

If you like a softer cookie, bake for 8 minutes. If a crunchier cookie is more your preference, bake for 10 minutes. These cookies are delicious either way, but Andy was partial to the 10 minute crispier bake.

Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. unsalted butter, melted

  • 3/4 c. packed brown sugar

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tsp. vanilla

  • 1 1/2 c. all purpose flour

  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda

  • 1/4 tsp. salt

  • 1/2 c. chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and line your baking sheet.

  2. In a medium bowl, combine your melted butter and brown sugar, mixing until fully incorporated.

  3. Add in the egg and vanilla.

  4. Mix in the flour, baking soda, and salt until fully incorporated.

  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.

  6. Spoon heaping teaspoons of the dough onto your baking sheet. Bake for 8 - 10 minutes, or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean or cookies reach desired crispiness.
