Spiced Mixed Nuts

Pro tip:

Nuts can be pricey to buy. I’ve found the most cost efficient (if you don’t have a Sams or Costco membership) is from Trader Joe’s. While this recipe calls for mixed nuts, you could easily use a bag of cashews, peanuts, almonds, or whatever other variety of nuts you prefer.

Spiced Mix Nuts

16 servings 1/4 c. in size

Ingredients

  • 4 c. mixed nuts of your choosing

  • 1 egg white, whisked until bubbles form

  • 1 tsp. salt

  • 1 Tbs. garlic powder

  • 1 Tbs fresh thyme, minced

  • 1 Tbs fresh rosemary, minced

  • 1 tsp. cumin

  • 1/4 tsp. cayenne

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees and line a rimmed baking sheet with foil.

  2. In a large bowl, stir the mixed nuts with the egg white until all nuts have a light sheen.

  3. In a small bowl, combine the remaining ingredients. Pour the seasonings over the mixed nuts, stirring until everything is evenly coated.

  4. Lay the mixed nuts in an even layer on your baking sheet. Place in the oven to cook for 15 minutes, stirring the nuts half way through.
